The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has welcomed eco-cistem™ as its newest member, further enhancing the association’s commitment to water conservation in the bathroom sector.

It stated that the eco-cistem™ innovation was a  pioneering system that not only significantly reduces freshwater usage but also aligns with the BMA’s mission to drive water reduction and innovation across the bathroom industry.

Tom Reynolds, Chief Executive of the BMA, welcomed the new member, saying:
“We are excited to welcome eco-cistem™ into the BMA family. Their innovative technology is a prime example of how bathroom manufacturers can lead the way in environmental responsibility. The product’s ability to repurpose condensate water for toilet flushing brings exciting new opportunities to reduce water waste the usage of mains fresh water at scale.

“Their membership strengthens our collective efforts to drive sustainability in the built environment and supports the UK’s wider water efficiency and climate resilience goals.”

Paul Crossley, Managing Director of eco-cistem™, said about joining the association:
“Becoming a member of the BMA is an exciting step for eco-cistem™. We’re looking forward to working with like-minded manufacturers who are passionate about sustainable solutions.

“Our goal is to collaborate, share knowledge, and raise awareness of how grey condensate water systems like eco-cistem™ can transform the way we think about flushing toilets—turning, what would be, waste water into a valuable resource. Together with the BMA, we hope to drive meaningful change in water use across the UK and beyond.”

As buildings across the UK become increasingly thermally efficient and demand for air conditioning continues to rise due to climate change, the availability of condensate water will only increase. eco-cistem™ taps into this underutilised resource, offering a simple, approved solution that is easy to install and adaptable to a wide range of commercial settings.

The BMA looks forward to supporting eco-cistem™ as they continue to innovate and advocate for sustainable water solutions in the bathroom manufacturing sector.
